I blended this with 2 other fragrances, white pumpkin amber & cafe mocha from another company and together it is smells amazing! The coffee smell is amazing and still fabulous in whipped soap, whipped sugar scrub & CP soap. Everyone who smells this is loving it! Can't say if it caused any acceleration because I was using 3 different fragrances & I used a good water discount & added coffee to my oils but it did not accelerate to the point of not being able to work with it.
This acted well in my cp and has a very good strong coffe scent! I actually added a couple drops of vanilla cinnamon and it’s smells beautiful
Espresso worked great in my soy candles so far, great CT and HT. I highly recommend it for soy candles!
I tested this in Cold Process Soap as well, these were my personal results with CP soap using Espresso:
- Soaped at 110-115F
- Water replaced with strong coffee.
- Reached Medium Trace.
- The strong coffee scent disappeared in the soap batter, but the scent of cinnamon, vanilla and cream scent remained strong throughout.
- It's been over a week of cure and it still has a strong scent of cinnamon, vanilla and cream, with a very slight coffee scent.
Overall I'm still happy with this soap and will rename it differently upon full cure!
You may have luck mixing this with another coffee scent (maybe a bitter fresh coffee type scent?) to bring out the strong coffee part of the scent if you'd like. :-)
This worked great in my cold processed soap recipe. I’m so thankful I found one that works! It smells like espresso, with a hint of cinnamon and caramel as well. Very good.

I looked for a good coffee smell and this is it. It smells just like waking up to a fresh brewed cup.
I did not know how I felt about this one when I first tried it, but my customers loved it! The feedback was they liked that it wasn't so sugary and sweet like some other coffee ones that are out there. Will be keeping this in the collection.
I really wanted to love this scent for my CP soap, but the scent is overpowering all other scents in my soap room after two weeks. I had to move it to a different room. Hopefully, the scent will lessen a bit over time. It does discolor a fair amount, but did not accelerate trace much at all. Not sure I will use this again, maybe wait a few more weeks to decide. Or tray a different coffee or latte scent.
